PJSC LUKOIL's main operating activity in the Region is petroleum product marketing.
In 2014, PJSC LUKOIL's President Vagit Alekperov and the Interim Governor of the Tyumen Region Vladimir Yakushev signed a Cooperation Agreement effective for the period until December 31, 2019. The document outlines the key principles of cooperation in the areas of geological exploration, oil and gas production, processing and transportation, and provides for the implementation of environmental programs and projects focused on the development of Tyumen Region's industrial and scientific potential. The Company worked in close cooperation with the Tyumen State Oil and Gas University to implement joint scientific and educational programs, organize internships and job placements for university graduates.
In 2015, PJSC LUKOIL launched its Social and Cultural Projects Contest in the Tyumen Region. For the first time Tyumen residents had an opportunity to present their projects to the panel of judges. The winning projects were devoted to the preservation of cultural and historical heritage, as well as the memory of the heroic deeds during the Second World War, to the strengthening of ties between generations and helping the war veterans. Among the winners in the "Addresses of Mercy" category were LUKOIL's charity programs. They are designed to help people with disabilities and support pensioners.
LUKOIL has been cooperating with the Tyumen Oil and Gas University for many years. Every year, the Company awards grants to support students and helps the university with materials and equipment.
